The trailhead is located northeast of Glen Arbor off of M-22 (W Harbor Hwy), along South Thoreson Road. From here visitors have access to 8 miles of divided loops. Hiking the hilly trails provides several beautiful vistas of Lake Michigan, the farms, and North and South Manitou Islands. The hike to the overlook is about 0.5 miles from the trailhead. Lookout Point gives a panoramic view of Lake Michigan and the surrounding countryside. The trail along the edge of the woods on top of the bluff overlooks fields of wildflowers and former farmland with Lake Michigan in the background.
