Ferry Avenue Park

Park Features: Parking, Lighting, Power, ADA Accessible, Picnicking, Volleyball, Playground, Developed Boat Access

Due to its location and amenities, Ferry Avenue Park is one of the City’s most frequently used parks and facilities in the summer months. The beach has two separate swimming areas (split be a pier) that are seasonally staffed by lifeguards. The park has a volleyball court, basketball courts, picnic tables, three covered pavilions, a horseshoe pit, and two playgrounds. There are restrooms, a seasonal concession stand privately operated, and substantial parking.

At the park's souther end is the Ferry Avenue boat launch, one of the heaviest used municipal boat launches in the region. It has four ramps and parking for vehicles and trailers. The boat launch allows immediate access to Lake Charlevoix, as well as easy access to Round Lake and Lake Michigan. There is a free fish cleaning station on the west end of the parking lot. The City charges a day use fee as well as seasonal passes for parking. The City of Charlevoix staffs an employee for fee collection in the summer months.
