Eagle Harbor Ski Trails
The trail system within the Eagle Harbor Conservation and Recreation Area is extensive and is used for cross country skiing, and snowshoeing. There are approximately 10 miles of trails that are contained in the Eliza Lake Preserve, Long Lake Refuge, and the George Hite Dunes and Marshes.
During spring, summer and fall this trail system also provides public access to one of the most important types of Great Lakes Ecosystems. From its forested upland to cedar bogs and emerging wetlands, it provides important habitat for permanent and migrating wildlife. Several threatened and endangered species call this conservation area home for all or part of the year. Public recreational opportunities include hiking, birding, botanical research, and other educational pursuits in a pristine and undeveloped wilderness.
Note: Not all sections of each trail are approved for every activity listed for the trail as a whole. Please click on individual trail sections to see approved activities for that section.
