The Lake Gogebic Forest Trail is located in the heart of the Ottawa National Forest in the Lake Gogebic State Park in the Upper Peninsula. This 2-mile trail is an ideal way to explore the terrain of the western UP on foot or on skis. Experience the true backcountry of the western Upper Peninsula including the wildlife viewing, fishing, and the shores of the largest inland lake in the Upper Peninsula! The trail is open year round and can be used for cross-country skiing as soon as the snow falls.
