The North Country Trail is maintained by the following:
Harbor Springs Chapter: 46 miles of trail from the Mackinac Bridge south to Kipp Road (north of Petoskey) in Emmet County
Jordan Valley 45 Chapter: 80 miles of trail from Kipp Road to Starvation Lake Road (north of Kalkaska) in Kalkaska County.
Grand Traverse Hiking Club: 100 miles of trail from Starvation Lake Road south through Kalkaska, Grand Traverse, Wexford, and Manistee Counties.
Spirit of the Woods Chapter: 78 miles of trail through Manistee County and south.
