Tahquamenon Falls State Park
Tahquamenon Falls State Park has a variety of trail experiences for all to enjoy. The park’s river trail takes you by two waterfalls and through an old growth forest as it follows the Tahquamenon River. Tahquamenon State park contains the Upper Falls, which are possibly Michigan’s most famous waterfalls, but the Lower Falls are worth the trip too. From Paradise Michigan, the Lower Falls entrance is around 10 miles west on M-123. The Upper and Lower Falls trails are linear, so it would be wise to bring two vehicles and leave one at the Upper Falls parking lot before starting your hike, or you could arrange for the shuttle to drop you off at the Lower Falls. You can also choose to just walk the Upper Falls where you can take in the beauty of the North.
