Whaleback Natural Area
Whaleback Natural Area offers visitors spectacular views from its high bluffs above Lake Michigan and varied terrain that hosts unique communities of plants and wildlife. The trail ascends through hardwoods to a flat hilltop loop. The access trail is the most challenging section of the trail.
The natural area is located within easy walking distance of the village of Leland. When you visit, please realize that the land on both sides of the access trail is private and is not open to the public.
